The MOVOIR (MOdular Virtual Observatory Interface for Radio-astronomy) is a ongoing effort that aims to combine existing VO open source tools (the Astro Grid Runtime, the Plastic client and server, and the Starlink Tables Infrastructure Library) in order to produce an easily embeddable modular interface for radio astronomy tools, with an initial emphasis on single dish data, but aiming to encompass the main classes of radio-astronomy data.

Goals

The goals for the MOVOIR are the following:

• Provide a single Virtual Observatory API for radio-astronomy tools.
• Clean interfacing with the RADAMS.
• Provides Model and Controller classes, Visualization is provided by the host application. The application adaption needs a data factory that can create its own model classes from MOVOIR classes.
• Open Source software under the LGPL license.
