Background

Yrene Jiménez holds a degree in Law and a degree in Economics from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

 

She has worked for two years in Spain as an advisor to female and young entrepreneurs in different social action organisations. Then, for almost six years she has worked in the international development cooperation field, most of the time in West Africa and in Central America, but also in Spain. She has worked for different Spanish organisations including the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional (AECID), always in collaboration with local authorities, in projects related to budgetary aid, the provision of the equipment for online training classrooms and the building of managing capacities, among others.

 

For the last three years she has worked for the Fundación Biodiversidad, part of the Ministerio para la transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico , managing public calls to promote the green economy.
