Background

Edgar Ribeiro Joao´s background is cemented in a degree in mathematics and a masters in applied mathematics both obtained from the Mathematics, Physics and Computing Ccience Faculty of the Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas in Cuba. His master´s degree focused on Probability Theory and Statistics, particularly in Multivariate Statistical Analysis. During his master´s studies, he proposed a systematic and sequential sampling method for canonical correlation analysis. This approach involved analyzing a specific problem along with its dataset to determine the most suitable probability distribution that best fits the data. In this context, he also addressed the ideal sample size necessary to ensure representativity for that particular problem.

On October 2023 he was invited to join to the AMIGA group as predoctoral researcher working on data processing and the development of new technologies giving his contribution in the building of a broker to intermediate cloud computing services in SKA Regional centres Network and in Open Science infrastructures through the design and implementation of advanced mathematical models combined with metaheuristics under the strict supervision of Drs. Manuel Parra and Julián Garrido.
