Background

Brenda Namumba is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia (IAA-CSIC) in Granada, Spain. Her research focuses on how galaxies evolve in different environments, using neutral hydrogen (HI) observations from the MeerKAT telescope and other SKA pathfinders. She has over a decade of experience working with radio astronomy data and is an active member of several international collaborations. Brenda is also passionate about mentoring, science communication, and advancing the role of women in physics and astronomy across Africa.
